Miriam Rosenthal Memorial Trust Fund Logo##Trust Administration

September 8th, 2008

Administration of the Miriam Rosenthal Memorial Trust Fund primarily is the responsibility of the Trust Committee. This Committee operates in much the same fashion as a Board of Trustees or Directors of a not-for-profit organization. Specific duties of the Committee are established in the Trust Fund document that created the Trust (and as revised in 2005).

Working closely with the Trust Committee is the Trustee, required by the Trust Fund Document. The Trustee is responsible for all filings required by Federal and State governments. Also, the Trustee completes and files the Fund’s tax return. Additionally, the Trustee makes all fund dispersments and provides complete accounting information to the Trust Committee. The current Trustee is The Private Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, Illinois.

The Trustee and the Trust Committee engage a professional investment firm to guide the Fund’s investments. The Investment Adviser works within the framework of the Trust Fund’s Investment Policy Statement, and holds regular meetings with both the Fund’s Investment Committee and the full Trust Committee. The current Investment Adviser is Altair Advisers LLC of Chicago, Illinois.

Cox, Jr. wrote: To Miriam Rosenthal – an institution, the real public value of which will only be properly appraised in the calm judgment of time. The legacy of a lifetime of leadership and service has been enriched through the activities of the Miriam Rosenthal Memorial Trust Fund during the years since her death.
