The chorus and soloists will be included in the staging of the piece. Visit the Bach Society’s website for more detail.

Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra

In an effort to reach out to the non-traditional audience and to truly make the Dayton Philharmonic the community’s institution, the Orchestra Association will present three special programs designed to be fun and memorable. The first program, scheduled for September 27th is Barbie at the Symphony; the second is 50 years of Rock ‘n Roll on November 1st; and, the third, Play! A Video Game Symphony scheduled for April 18th.

Barbie at the Symphony is a children’s animated classical music experience involving a special film with orchestra presentation of the best-selling Barbie™ “Princess” movies. Fifty Years of Rock ‘n Roll is a celebration of classic moments of five decades of Rock ‘n Roll. Play! is a multimedia presentation with full Orchestra and choir featuring award-winning music from a catalogue of blockbuster video game titles.
